ABOUT US

BASANTA UTSAV :

Rabindranath Tagore founded the Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan. The serene and tranquil town is nestled in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. Being no exception to the ethereal charm of Holi, he decided to add a new dimension to the festivities. Thus, he came up with an idea to celebrate the festival in this way. Also known as ‘Dol Jatra’ or the ‘Dol Utsav’, the fiesta enjoys the repute as the “Rabindrik Basanta Utsav”. Festivals add colours to life. And, if it is Holi, the fiesta of colours, one may well imagine how it smudges every soul with happiness. The famous indian poet Rabindranath Tagore introduced Basanta Utsav or Spring festival in Santiniketan, Birbhum to recreate the magic of Holi. The joyous festival is now an integral part of the Bengali cultural. Krishnanagar Basanta Utsav is celebrated at the time of Holi.

URAAN'S UTSAV :

In the season of colors entire Krishnagar gear-up to celebrate the essence of RANG & ABIR(Gulal). We “URAAN“ is always indulging the innovative ideas of celebration “HOLI” is a second biggest festival in India and we always want to create innovative platforms. In Krishnagar we have created festival naming “KRISHNAGAR BASANTA UTSAV” where no only the Krishnagarik but people of various part of West Bengal came for the celebrations.
